BSS Technician - Mazar

The BSS Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the BTS equipment in the company’s networks. The role focuses on ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability of Huawei GSM/UMTS/LTE base station systems, including BTS/NodeB/eNodeB.

• Install, commission, and integrate BSS equipment (BTS, NodeB, eNodeB, gNodeB).

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of radio base stations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software faults in Huawei systems.

• Monitor network performance and carry out optimization activities.

• Conduct configuration changes.

• Ensure proper alarm handling and fault management.

• Support transmission integration (Microwave, Fiber, IP backhaul).

• Perform site acceptance tests (SAT) and ensure quality standards.

• Coordinate with NOC, RF engineers, and field teams.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all activities.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures at company sites.

• Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

• High school graduate or technical school graduate.

• Must have 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience.

• Knowledge of Huawei BTS (e.g., BTS3900/BTS5900), NodeB, and eNodeB systems.

• Familiarity with RF concepts and antenna systems.

• Experience with transmission systems (Microwave, Fiber Optics).

• Fluent in local languages (Dari and Pashto); intermediate English communication skills will be a plus.

• Intermediate computer skills are an asset.

• Demonstrates a strong work ethic.

• Possesses excellent communication skills.

• Capable of performing well under pressure.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during work.

• Willingness to travel to other provinces and work additional hours.
