The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall management, operations, performance, and profitability of Park View Hotel. The GM will provide strategic leadership across all hotel departments, ensure exceptional guest experiences, maintain high operational standards, manage staff performance, control costs, and drive the overall growth and success of the hotel
Duties & responsibilities
Hotel Operations:
· Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of all hotel departments.
· Ensure smooth, efficient, and professional hotel operations at all times.
· Maintain high standards of service, quality, cleanliness, and professionalism.
· Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and operational standards.
· Monitor overall hotel performance and implement improvements when necessary.
· Ensure all departments work together effectively to achieve hotel objectives.
Leadership & Team Management:
· Lead, motivate, and supervise department heads and hotel staff.
· Set clear performance standards and monitor departmental performance.
· Conduct regular management meetings and follow up on action plans.
· Support recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluation of employees.
· Promote teamwork, discipline, accountability, and professional conduct.
· Develop a positive and productive working environment throughout the hotel.
Guest Experience & Customer Service:
· Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and high standards of customer service.
· Personally handle VIP guests and major guest complaints when required.
· Monitor guest feedback and implement appropriate corrective actions.
· Ensure special guest requests and requirements are handled professionally.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key guests, corporate clients, and business partners.
Financial & Business Management:
· Oversee hotel budgets, revenues, expenses, and overall profitability.
· Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost control.
· Review financial and operational reports and take appropriate management decisions.
· Work closely with the Finance Department to maintain effective financial controls.
· Support sales and marketing strategies to increase occupancy, revenue, and profitability.
· Identify new business opportunities and areas for operational improvement.
Sales, Marketing & Business Development:
· Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
· Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, organizations, and other business partners.
· Support promotional activities and strategies to strengthen the hotel's market position.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activities relevant to the hotel industry.
Coordination & Reporting
· Ensure effective communication between all hotel departments.
· Coordinate with department heads to resolve operational challenges.
· Prepare and review management and operational reports as required.
· Report hotel performance, financial results, and major operational matters to the ownership or senior management.
· Ensure effective implementation of management decisions and strategic plans.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, food safety, and security standards.
· Ensure the hotel operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
· Monitor emergency procedures and ensure staff are properly trained.
· Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for guests and employees.
Standards & Compliance:
· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
· Follow hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
· Ensure compliance with hotel safety, security, and guest service protocols.
Job requirements
· Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
· A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field may also be considered.
· Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in hotel or hospitality management.
· At least 3–5 years of experience in a senior management position within the hotel or hospitality industry.
· Previous experience as a General Manager, Hotel Manager, Director of Operations, or Operations Manager is highly preferred.
· Previous experience in a four-star or five-star hotel is a strong advantage.
· Proven experience in managing multiple hotel departments and leading large teams.
· Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, guest services, and business development.

· Fluency in Dari or Pashto.
· Good command of English (spoken and written).
· Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
