Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and maintain our organization’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance network connectivity to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and internet connectivity.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implement network security measures, including VPNs, firewalls, and access controls.
• Perform network upgrades, patches, and capacity planning.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage server hardware, local office hardware, including rack installation, deployment, document and maintained them.
• Conduct network cabling installation and maintenance.
• Obtain quotations for new software, hardware, and IT products from the market.
• Carry out any upcoming tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience 2-3 years as a Network Engineer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, MikroTik, or similar networking equipment
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Understanding of network security principles and protocols
• Knowledge of wireless technologies and network cabling

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• CCNA / CCNP or equivalent certifications is a plus
• Knowledge of server-side administration and deployment (Windows Server, Linux)
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong time-management and multitasking abilities
• Willingness to work on-call or outside normal business hours if required.
