About the job
The pediatric specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality specialized medical care to pediatric patients at the hospital. The position involves diagnosis, treatment, management, and follow-up of pediatric patients, including complicated cases, in accordance with established medical standards and hospital protocols.
The pediatric specialist will work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care. He will also provide professional guidance to parents and caregivers, maintain accurate medical records, and contribute to improving the quality of pediatric health services.
The position is full-time and requires a qualified pediatric specialist with a minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience. and aged over 50 years old.
Job requirements
- Valid postgraduate qualification/specialization in pediatrics from the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in pediatrics, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Proven experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric patients, including complicated and emergency cases.
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents/caregivers, and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, patient safety, and quality healthcare standards.
- Ability to maintain accurate and confidential medical records and prepare required reports.
- Ability to provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior medical and healthcare staff.
- Proficiency in Dari and Pashto.
- Age: 50 years or above.
- Willingness and ability to work full-time, including night shifts and on-call duties as required.
