The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the overall financial management, financial strategy, regulatory compliance, reporting, treasury, liquidity, budgeting, accounting, financial controls and financial risk management of Aurum Pay.
The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership to ensure that the Company maintains sound financial management, adequate liquidity and capital, accurate and timely financial reporting, effective internal controls, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, IFRS/IAS and the Company's internal policies.
As a senior member of management, the CFO will work closely with the CEO, Board, senior management, regulatory authorities, auditors, banks, payment partners and other stakeholders to support the sustainable growth and financial stability of Aurum Pay.
· Develop and implement the Company's financial strategy in line with the overall business strategy.
· Provide financial advice and recommendations to the CEO, Board and senior management.
· Evaluate the financial impact of new products, services, branches, projects, partnerships and strategic initiatives.
· Support business expansion while maintaining financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.
· Establish appropriate financial policies, procedures, controls and financial management frameworks.
· Monitor the Company's financial performance and recommend corrective actions where required.
· Lead and develop the Finance Department and promote a strong culture of accountability, accuracy and financial discipline.
· Financial Modules
· Designing and implementing financial flow for EMI services
· Ensure that company finance functions according to financial policy and regulatory compliance.
· Ensure accurate, complete and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
· Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with applicable IFRS/IAS and regulatory requirements.
· Review the Financial Statement and supporting schedules.
· Ensure proper accounting treatment for e-money transactions, customer funds, settlement transactions, commissions, fees, expenses, fixed assets, leases, provisions, taxes and other financial activities.
· Maintain an appropriate Chart of Accounts and accounting structure.

· Agent commission structure
· Cost allocation
· Project portfolio and fund management
· Financial Analysis,
· Assessing financial risk, and proper risk mitigation for Finance department
· Assessing and mitigating control risk in finance department.
· Project wise performance reporting
· Account Receivable and Account payable management.
· Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process.
· Prepare annual operating budgets and financial forecasts.
· Develop financial models and business projections.
· Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast.
· Analyze significant variances and recommend corrective measures.
· Prepare management reports covering revenue, expenses, profitability, liquidity, capital and operational performance.
· Support management in assessing the financial viability of new products, branches and projects.
· Project wise Financial projections and budgeting
· Establish and maintain effective financial internal controls.
· Ensure appropriate segregation of duties within Finance and related processes.
· Review financial policies and procedures periodically.
· Identify financial and operational risks and implement appropriate controls.
· Monitor risks relating to fraud, errors, unauthorized transactions, financial misstatements and liquidity.
· Ensure proper authorization and approval controls over payments and financial transactions.
· Ensure adequate supporting documentation and audit trails are maintained.
· Work with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and Operations to strengthen the Company's control environment.
· LCTR, STR document management, and reporting
· Act as the primary Finance contact for external auditors.
· Coordinate annual statutory and financial audits.
· Ensure timely preparation and submission of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
· Review audit findings and management letters.
· Develop and monitor action plans for audit recommendations.
· Coordinate with Internal Audit on finance-related findings and recommendations.
· Ensure financial records are maintained in an audit-ready condition throughout the year.
· Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
· Review tax calculations, tax returns and tax-related payments.
· Monitor withholding tax, income tax and other applicable tax obligations.
· Coordinate with tax authorities and external tax advisers where required.
· Ensure appropriate tax documentation and supporting records are maintained.
· Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their financial impact on the Company.
· Oversee the Company's fixed asset accounting and management.
· Ensure proper capitalization, depreciation and disposal of fixed assets.
· Establish appropriate asset acquisition and disposal controls.
· Ensure physical verification of assets is performed periodically.
· Maintain an accurate and complete fixed asset register.
· Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
· Review business cases and investment proposals.
· Assess the financial impact of new branches, products, projects and partnerships.
· Support pricing and commission decisions through financial analysis.
· Provide management with reliable financial information for decision-making.
· Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives.
· Lead, supervise and develop the Finance team.
· Define responsibilities, objectives and performance expectations for Finance staff.
· Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development.
· Identify training requirements and strengthen technical accounting and financial skills.
· Promote teamwork, integrity, confidentiality and professional conduct.
· Ensure adequate Finance staffing in line with business growth.
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field, MBA will preferred.
· Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent is strongly preferred.
· Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS and financial reporting.
· Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting, budgeting, treasury and internal controls.
· Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting, with significant experience in a senior finance or management position.
· Experience in EMI, FinTech, banking, payment services or other regulated financial institutions is highly preferred.
· Proven experience in financial reporting and management accounting.
