About the job
The Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, deploying, and supporting MOAM’s web, backend, and mobile applications. The role requires strong hands-on experience with .NET Core backend development and microservice architecture, Next.js frontend development, Flutter mobile development, and the infrastructure required to run these systems reliably in production.
The position will contribute to the design, development, and evolution of MOAM’s digital logistics ecosystem, including Courier and Cargo products across web and mobile platforms, shared backend services, system integrations, and future digital solutions, with responsibility spanning APIs, distributed services, caching, messaging, observability, databases, containerization, server administration, security, performance, and third-party integrations. The developer is expected to work across the complete software delivery lifecycle and collaborate closely with the Technology Unit and business stakeholders.
Duties & responsibilities
A. Backend Development & Microservices
· Design, develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and REST APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core / .NET Core.
· Design services using microservice architecture, clear service boundaries, maintainable domain/application layers, and clean architecture principles.
· Implement authentication, authorization, role/permission management, API validation, error handling, background processing, and secure service-to-service communication.
· Work with SQL Server and relational data access using Entity Framework Core; design efficient schemas, migrations, indexes, transactions, and queries.
· Implement distributed caching and cache invalidation strategies using Redis or equivalent technologies.
· Use RabbitMQ for asynchronous messaging, event-driven workflows, queues, retries, and reliable communication between services; implement real-time application features using appropriate technologies such as SignalR/WebSockets where required.
· Integrate MOAM systems with ERP (including Sage), CRM, payment gateways, SMS/notification services, Firebase, customs systems, and other internal or third-party platforms.
B. Frontend Development
· Develop and maintain responsive, secure, production-ready web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
· Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, authentication flows, real-time features, and server-side/client-side data fetching as appropriate.
· Build reusable UI components, handle application state effectively, and ensure performance, accessibility, maintainability, and cross-browser compatibility.
C. Mobile Application Development
· Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
· Integrate Flutter applications with .NET APIs and Firebase services such as Cloud Messaging/push notifications, authentication, analytics, or other required Firebase capabilities.
· Manage mobile application state, API communication, error handling, local persistence, release builds, and application performance.
D. DevOps, Server & Deployment Management
· Containerize applications and supporting services using Docker and Docker Compose; maintain reliable environment configuration across development, staging, and production.
· Administer and troubleshoot application servers, preferably Linux-based environments, including services, networking, ports, SSL/TLS certificates, reverse proxies such as Nginx, storage, permissions, and resource usage.
· Support CI/CD pipelines, source control workflows, environment variables/secrets, deployment automation, backups, rollback procedures, and production releases.
· Monitor application and infrastructure health and diagnose production issues across services, containers, databases, logs, queues, caches, and network dependencies.
E. Logging, Monitoring & Reliability
· Implement structured application logging using Serilog and centralized log monitoring/analysis using Seq.
· Design meaningful logs, correlation identifiers, health checks, metrics, alerts, and diagnostics to support distributed systems and production troubleshooting.
· Improve application performance, scalability, resilience, fault handling, and availability through profiling, testing, and operational monitoring.
F. Quality, Security & Engineering Practices
· Write unit and integration tests and perform API, frontend, and mobile validation before release.
· Apply secure coding practices for authentication, authorization, secrets, data protection, input validation, dependency management, and API security.
· Participate in technical design, sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, Git workflows, troubleshooting, and documentation.
· Produce clear technical documentation for architecture, APIs, deployments, integrations, and operational procedures.
Job requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.
· Strong professional experience building full-stack production applications, with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core as the primary backend technology.
· Hands-on experience with microservices, REST APIs, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, Redis caching, RabbitMQ messaging, Serilog, and Seq.
· Hands-on experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices.
· Hands-on experience developing mobile applications with Flutter/Dart and integrating Firebase services.
· Practical experience with Docker/containerization, Git, server administration, application deployment, and production troubleshooting.
· Good understanding of software architecture, security, performance, scalability, concurrency, testing, and distributed-system fundamentals.
· Ability to independently analyze technical problems, communicate clearly, document solutions, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Good command of English for technical documentation and communication; Dari and/or Pashto are advantageous.
Preferred / Advantageous Experience
· API gateways/reverse proxies (for example YARP or Nginx), CQRS/Mediator patterns, background workers, scheduled jobs, and distributed tracing.
· CI/CD platforms, cloud or VPS environments, DNS/SSL management, backups, monitoring, and production incident response.
· Experience integrating ERP/CRM, logistics, warehouse, cargo, payment, notification, or other enterprise systems.
· Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, automated testing, code quality tools, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
