The Sales Officer will support MOAM Logistics’ business growth by identifying and acquiring new clients, promoting courier, cargo, and warehousing services, and converting leads into sales. The role involves field sales, client relationship management, market research, coordination with Operations and Customer Care, and regular sales and CRM reporting.
Duties & responsibilities
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales Generation and Business Development
Identify potential customers in the courier, cargo, and warehousing sectors.
Visit local markets, including courier networks and logistics hubs, to secure new business.
Conduct outreach to small courier companies and offer MOAM’s services.
Follow up on leads and convert them into sales.
B. Inbound and Outbound Courier Sales
Promote and secure sales for both incoming and outgoing courier shipments.
Offer customized logistics solutions to clients based on their specific needs.
Record and report sales data regularly.
C. Client Relationship and Retention
Act as the first point of contact for clients in the field.
Maintain ongoing communication with existing clients to ensure satisfaction.
Support in resolving service-related issues in collaboration with Customer Care.
D. Market Intelligence
Gather competitor intelligence and market trends during field visits.
Provide feedback to the Unit Manager on pricing, services, and customer needs.
Identify untapped markets and suggest innovative approaches for service delivery.
E. Coordination & Reporting
Collaborate closely with the Operations and Customer Care Units to ensure seamless service delivery.
Submit weekly sales performance reports and client visit summaries.
Maintain records of all prospective and existing client interactions in the CRM system.
3. Key Deliverables
Weekly sales performance reports.
Monthly client acquisition and retention metrics.
Updated CRM records.
Field visit logs and lead conversion documentation.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of field sales or logistics industry experience.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Knowledge of local courier/logistics markets is a strong advantage.
