Substation and Transmission Line Quality Control Engineer

Nazari-Rahimi Mining Extraction and Processing Company is seeking experienced Quality Control Engineers (Civil and Electrical) for substation and overhead transmission line projects.

The QC engineers will ensure that project works comply with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, Project Quality Plans, DABS requirements, and applicable international standards throughout construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Candidates must have hands-on TL and/or substation experience, strong knowledge of quality control and documentation, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, DABS, and project teams.

Relevant TL/SS experience is mandatory. Candidates without relevant experience will not be considered.

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract requirements, DABS specifications, and international standards.

• Lead and manage all site-based quality control activities, including inspections and compliance monitoring of subcontractors.

• Prepare and maintain Quality Control (CQC) plans. • Review project scope of work, technical specifications, approved drawings, method statements, and other relevant documents.

• Inspect installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with approved specifications and drawings.

• Conduct quality inspections of electrical equipment.

• Review manufacturer documentation, factory acceptance test (FAT) results, site test reports, and commissioning records.

• Verify that all materials and equipment delivered to site comply with approved submittals and are suitable for installation.

• Ensure all required civil and electrical tests are carried out in accordance with technical specifications and that results are properly documented and reported.

• Identify, document, and report non-conformities (NCRs), and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Prepare daily quality control reports reflecting progress, compliance, and resolution of quality issues.

• Coordinate and document all inspections, testing, and commissioning activities in line with DABS requirements.

• Chair and document weekly QC meetings with DABS representatives and site staff, and circulate official meeting minutes.

• Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for each definable feature of work.

• Organize pre-construction meetings with subcontractors prior to commencing new work phases.

• Assign, supervise, and guide QC engineers across different project zones.

• Collaborate closely with site engineers, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project management to resolve quality-related issues.

• Confirm that all works are executed in accordance with DABS-approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Prepare and compile project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, and warranties.

• Participate in project meetings and provide professional input on quality matters.

• Perform any other duties assigned by management related to quality assurance and control.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering or related field.

• Total Experience, 5 years, Experience in similar work 3 years.

• Strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards, international quality standards.

• Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
