Project Scheduler

The Project Scheduler will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling project activities for substation and overhead transmission line projects. The role includes developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring that engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities remain aligned with approved timelines.

The position requires strong Primavera P6 skills, knowledge of project planning and scheduling, understanding of power infrastructure projects, and strong analytical, reporting, and coordination abilities.

• Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

• Establish Project Baselines: Develop realistic baseline schedules in coordination with the Project Manager and technical teams, ensuring that planned activities, durations, logic, milestones, and project deadlines are properly defined.

• Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS): Establish and maintain appropriate WBS structures to organize project activities and provide clear visibility of project scope, responsibilities, and progress.

• Monitor Project Progress: Regularly collect and verify actual progress from site teams, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders and accurately incorporate progress data into the project schedule.

• Update Schedules: Perform regular schedule updates in Primavera P6, including actual start and finish dates, remaining durations, activity progress, resources, and forecast dates.

• Analyze Schedule Performance: Compare actual project performance against the approved baseline and identify delays, critical path impacts, and potential schedule risks.

• Delay Analysis and Recovery Planning: Analyze the causes and impacts of project delays and develop recovery schedules, acceleration plans, and mitigation measures in coordination with the Project Manager and relevant teams.

• Coordinate with Site and Technical Teams: Maintain close coordination with Site Managers, engineers, contractors, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to obtain accurate progress information and ensure alignment between planned and actual activities.

• Prepare Progress Reports: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly schedule and progress reports, including planned versus actual progress, major milestones, delays, critical activities, and forecast completion dates.

• Develop Look-Ahead Schedules: Prepare short-term and medium-term look-ahead schedules to identify upcoming activities, required resources, interfaces, and potential constraints.

• Coordinate Multiple Project Interfaces: Ensure that schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and other project functions are properly integrated and coordinated.

• Maintain Primavera P6 Data Integrity: Ensure that all project schedule data, activity status, relationships, calendars, resources, and progress information are accurately maintained and consistently updated in Primavera P6.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution (Master's degree is preferred).

• Total Experience, 5 years, Experience in similar work 3 years.

• Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
