Responsible for driving e& money business growth, revenue generation, and market expansion across the assigned zone. Leads agent and distributor network development, indirect sales operations, and digital financial service delivery to achieve all commercial KPIs. Develops and executes commercial strategy, identifies new business opportunities, and manages channel partnerships. Drives sales across mobile wallet, transfers, payments, recharge, SIM services, VAS, and enterprise products. Plans promotional campaigns and market activation programs while monitoring competition. Leads, mentors, and evaluates zonal teams, ensuring high performance and accountability. Ensures service continuity, agent liquidity, and operational readiness. Maintains full compliance with AML/CFT, KYC, and regulatory requirements. Prepares performance reports, analyzes trends, and provides strategic recommendations to senior management. Builds strong relationships with regulators, financial institutions, corporate clients, and partners. Represents the organization in business meetings and coordinates with regional and head office teams to deliver sustainable growth.
• Develop and execute the zone's commercial strategy to maximize revenue and market share.
• Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and growth sectors.
• Drive customer acquisition, transaction volume, and active user growth.
• Lead expansion of the e& money agent and merchant network across the zone.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage agents, distributors, merchants, and strategic partners.
• Ensure optimal geographical coverage and service availability.
• Monitor agent productivity and implement performance improvement plans.
• Drive sales for all e& Afghanistan services (mobile wallet, transfers, payments, recharge, SIM, VAS, enterprise, etc.).
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, roadshows, and activation programs.
• Monitor competitors and recommend strategies to increase market competitiveness.
• Manage and expand the indirect sales network (distributors, sub-distributors, retailers, franchise partners).
• Drive sales targets for SIM, registration, replacement, migration, devices, recharge, data, voice, and digital services.
• Ensure availability of SIM, recharge, and e& money products across the distribution network.
• Monitor inventory, stock movement, activation quality, and sales performance.
• Supervise trade marketing, branding, merchandising, and visibility campaigns.
• Conduct regular market visits to ensure compliance with policies and operational standards.
• Analyze indirect sales performance and implement corrective action plans.
• Execute all commercial campaigns, product launches, and pricing initiatives within the zone.
• Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, corporate clients, local businesses, and partners.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to improve competitive positioning.
• Ensure compliance with SIM registration, KYC, AML/CFT, anti-fraud, and all company policies.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and evaluate zonal staff and field teams.
• Set KPIs, monitor performance, and conduct coaching and reviews.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical and commercial training to the team.
• Ensure uninterrupted service delivery and operational readiness across the zone.
• Monitor agent liquidity and resolve operational issues with internal departments.
• Improve customer experience through efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all operational procedures and service standards.
• Conduct regular compliance audits of agents and merchants.
• Maintain accurate documentation and record management.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
• Analyze sales trends, transaction volumes, customer behavior, and operational KPIs.
• Develop forecasts and recommend improvement strategies.
• Present strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Build relationships with government authorities, regulators, communities, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
• Represent the organization in business meetings, negotiations, and official events.
• Coordinate effectively with regional and head office teams.
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in Telecommunications, Mobile Financial Services (MFS), Banking, Digital Payments, FinTech, or Business Development.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role with responsibility for achieving sales and operational targets.
• Proven experience in developing and managing agent/distributor networks at scale.
• Demonstrated success in achieving challenging commercial KPIs and driving market share growth.
• Strong understanding of e& money operations, digital financial services, and telecom distribution models.
• Experience with agent onboarding, contract management, partner profitability, and channel development.
• Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel; familiarity with CRM and reporting tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of telecom regulations, e& money regulations, KYC/AML/CFT requirements, and banking products is preferred.
• Strong leadership, influencing, communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and coordinate effectively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal; knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto is an advantage.
• Experience with E& Afghanistan, Etisalat, MTN, Roshan, AWCC, Afghan Wireless, banks, or other mobile financial service providers is highly preferred.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field. (Master's Degree is an advantage.)
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Telecommunications, MFS, Banking, FinTech, or Business Development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in indirect sales, distribution management, agent network expansion, and e& money operations.
• Strong expertise in partner onboarding, market expansion, ROI management, business development, and contract management.
• In-depth knowledge of mobile money, e& money services, SIM distribution, and digital financial products.
• Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel; CRM tool experience is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and coordination abilities.
• Strong command of English; Dari and/or Pashto proficiency is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and manage multiple deliverables.
